TRAVEL PROGRAM

Stamford Youngtimers features a highly successful travel program that competes in the Fairfield County Basketball League.   We've had great success the last few years with numerous FCBL championship teams.

Opponents are typically located throughout Fairfield County and those outside of Fairfield County are usually within an hour’s drive time.  The travel teams are for players who are interested in developing their abilities beyond the house level through hard work and commitment to increased levels of basketball training and competition.

The Youngtimers plan to have a total of four teams for the 2023-24 season with one each at the grade levels of 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grades.   Players in 7th and 8th grade will NOT be required to play in the house league in order to compete on the travel team at their respective grade.   Players in the 5th and 6th grade level are required to play house league in order to play on Youngtimers Travel Teams.

Home games will be played at Westhill High School on Sundays and AITE on Friday nights.  Away games will vary between Friday, Saturday and Sunday depending on opponent’s gym availability.  All schedules will be posted in advance on the website.

Please note that there are no "must-play" rules in our travel program.   While all coaches have a goal for all kids to play significant minutes in every game, there are no guarantees.  However, we are confident all girls will improve through the program.

Below is a description of the program at the different levels:
