League Disciplinary Policy

All members of the Stamford Youngtimers program (coaches, players and parents) must review and follow the league code of conduct found on this website. Violations of the code of conduct will lead to suspensions and potentially expulsion from the league.

Adults involved in the Stamford Youngtimers League will not behave in a manner that draws a technical foul call from a referee.

We are a CHILDREN’S league. Consequently, we follow the principle that it is the responsibility of the adults involved in our league to lead by example and if they feel affected by poor officiating, score or clock management errors, and bad behavior from fans, the opportunity to teach their players or children how to play through adversity is the best course of action. This life lesson trumps all else.

AUTOMATIC SUSPENSION: Any player, coach, or parent who is ejected or receives two technical fouls in a game, house or travel, is automatically suspended from attending at least the next two games. There are no exceptions.

A player, coach, or parent who receives three technical fouls in a season will be suspended for at least the next two games. A fourth technical foul over the course of a season will result in suspension for the remainder of the season. There are league members beginning this season on suspension for events from last season.

ADDITIONAL SUSPENSIONS PERMITTED: The mandatory suspensions are minimums, not maximums. Stamford Youngtimers may, in its sole discretion, impose longer suspensions, even for a single instance of misconduct, depending on the nature of the misconduct.

If you disagree with this policy, we understand and respect that. However, if you feel that you cannot abide by it, we ask that you choose to not participate in our League.
